Meet Dr. Brad Lerner – a revered surgeon and specialist in male infertility, reproductive medicineand male sexuality; a highly-trained microsurgeon who has performed more than one thousand microsurgical vasectomy reversals; a doctor who has delivered the joy of parenthood to thousands of couples thanks to his expertise in male infertility and vasectomy reversals; and, a father of three who understands the struggles of couples going through infertility and the joy he can bring to those who come to him for help conceiving.

Dr. Lerner’s reputation as a pioneer in the fields of male infertility, male sexuality, microsurgeryand reproductive medicine, sets him apart as leading physician not only in the Baltimore area, but in the Mid-Atlantic region and in the nation.
Having practiced male infertility for more than two decades, Dr. Lerner is among the leading practitioners of microsurgical vasectomy reversals in the country. In fact, he is part of an elite group: two percent of board-certified urologists in the U.S. who are fellowship-trained in male infertility and microsurgical techniques. Nationally, only 600 urologists have this specialty training, and only a handful have been in practice as long and as successfully as Dr. Lerner. In the Mid-Atlantic region, there are few of such trained urologic surgeons.
Dr. Lerner is part of an elite group: two percent of board-certified urologists in the U.S. who are fellowship-trained in male infertility and microsurgical techniques.
Dr. Lerner received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, followed by a general surgery and urology residency at University of Maryland Hospital. In 1989, after completing his specialized training at the country’s leading program for male reproductive medicine and surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, he returned to his native Baltimore to offer breakthroughs in male infertility therapies that were previously unavailable in the Mid-Atlantic area. In fact, he was involved in the first births in the state using sperm obtained from electrical stimulation as well as from the epididymis and testis.
In addition to his work with patients at Chesapeake Urology and The Vasectomy Reversal Center of America, Dr. Lerner is also the Chief of Urology at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD and the urologic consultant to the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens. He is certified by the American Board of Urology, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and serves as a clinical instructor in Urology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
