Dr. Daniel completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia in 1981, graduating with honors, and receiving a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Chemistry. He then continued his medical education at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta Georgia. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1985 from Emory University. One week later, he married Joan Hug, and moved to Memphis, Tennessee to begin his surgical internship and residency training at the University of Tennessee and the Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center.
In 1988, Dr. Daniel and his wife moved to Birmingham, Alabama where he continued his training as a Urological resident. He received his urological and microsurgical vasectomy reversal training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He served as chief resident and received extensive microsurgical training and certification while in Birmingham.
He was certified by the American Board of Urology in 1994, and recertified in 2004 and 2014. He maintains active membership in the American Urological Association, as well as many other professional and medical organizations. He remains blessed with his wife Joan, and three wonderful children: Nicole, Garrett, and Stephanie. He is an active member of the Catholic Church where he has served as a eucharistic minister for almost 30 years. He is also an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
He chose to dedicate his practice to microsurgical vasectomy reversal procedures primarily for his own personal religious reasons and experiences. These experiences led him to believe that this is what God wanted him to do with his life. We hope you find our web site to be informative, but you will not appreciate how wonderful our staff is unless you give them a call. You can schedule an appointment to discuss your procedure personally with Dr. Daniel via Skype, FaceTime telephone, or in person. Alternatively, for your travel convenience, we are able to offer your consultation and surgery on the same day. Most choose this latter option for the sake of time and convenience, but either way you choose, you will be glad you came.
